3 to Inspire with Diane

Diane here with another "3 to Inspire" challenge for you. You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

Your prompts this week are:
    1.    Create a really large title.
    2.    Try hand stitching.
    3.    Use up all your little scraps!

Here’s my take on this challenge:

I created my title by tracing round the Life Noted Acetate Cut Words from the April Sprinkles kit. Then I stitched, stitched stitched! Although it can take a wee while, I tend to do it while binge watching my latest fav on Netflix and the time goes much quicker!

Here are a few close-ups...

Now it's your turn! Use the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us here in the gallery and/or our Facebook Forum. You can also upload to Instagram, but remember to tag us @citrustwistkits. Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

Pocket Life Sketch Friday with Tara

Good morning! It's my favorite day of the week and time for your weekly PL Sketch challenge. Today I'm sharing how to get your Pocket Life done quick and easy. These days, I don't have much time to spare.

The everyday moments fill up my heart more than I imagine! Here are a few:

I can't get enough of our April "Santorini" PL Kit! The colors are bright and bold - the exclusive 6x6 paper gave me a ton of mileage out of this month's kit. There can never be too many embellishments in my book, so I added another layer of stripes by using a Pinkfresh Life Noted chipboard sticker. The Life Noted acetate cut out words that came in the April Sprinkles Kit was just perfect to use here as my title.

Here is an up close shot:

To keep it simple, I used the Carpe Diem tiny word stickers instead of journaling. I love the little phrases in typewriter font. This month's PL kit had an arrow stamp included and it worked great here.

Luke and I are getting in a little cuddle while I do some meal prepping.

I'm smitten over the sleep journaling card this month! I wanted to hoard it but found it perfect with this layout. I also used one of the cut outs included in the PL kit - they are great in adding a little more to a photo or journaling card.

Here is your sketch:

Thanks for visiting Pocket Life Friday, where every week we share PL sketches and a chance to win. For your chance to win, create a layout based on the sketches in this blog post, post your layout to our Gallery or our Facebook Fan Page by Friday, May 6th. Pocket Life Pages with Marie

Hi Everyone! Marie here today to share how I included some everyday memorabilia when I put together a Pocket Life page about my son.
The first thing I did was to go through my April PL kit and pick out brightly colored cards and embellishments that would coordinate with my photos.

Next I went through my son's belongings and picked out a few objects that describe him right now. For instance I stapled a Marvel clothing tag straight to one of the PL cards.

I took a bookmark from school and added it in between my two pages (I included some journaling on the reverse side so it can be flipped back and forth).

And finally for memorabilia that was too bulky to include in my pages such as his soccer ball and souvenirs, I simply took a picture of them and added the photo to another PL card. I love having pages like this that capture the little things in his life right now.

I hope you've been having a great time working with your kits this month!

3 Pages with Gina

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a few pages created with the gorgeous Santorini main scrapbook kit and Embellishment kits

I've had fun playing with the die-cuts in the embellishment kit on this page, using them as a mask
and then adding a few back into the design to provide contrast and texture.

This time I've created a white border on the kraft cardstock using gesso, white pen and watercolour.

The little hand-cut birds make a cute addition and add a pop of colour

I've also used them on this page, and kept the whole design pretty simple

Thanks so much for stopping by

Tuesday tutorial with Alena Grinchuk

Happy Tuesday!
I'm here sharing my layout created with the April 2016 "Santorini" Pocket Life Kit +April 2016 Sprinkles Kit. This layout is about my son.
I need a sheet of white cardstock.  First, I cut out some numbers using my Big Shot.
Next,  drew circles around each number and put a piece of patterned paper behind each number cut out.

 Then added accents with watercolor.
 Next I added a photo, a title, a stitching, a few stickers....

I hope you are inspired to create something with your pocket page album or Citrus Twist Kits scrapbooking kit today!

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH EVELYN YUSUF

Happy Sunday talented ladies! This is the Sunday scrapbook Sketch and you can scrap lift it for the scrapbooking challenge made with the April scrapbook kit!

This is how I created my scrapbook layout about my son using the sketch!

I just scrap lift the sketch and lil bit do some improvement to make my layout looking so pretty and  so me. I didn't use the same size of the papers just like in the sketch but I prefer to use different sizes of papers, vellum and ephemeras around my main photo.

I created the pastels layout event I have vibrant photo of my son. The gold vellum make the photo and also the embellishment around it blending together.

I use those yellow alpha sticker to create the tittle, and also love to do some stamping in this layout instead of using my handwriting to tell the story.

Now It's your turn to play along with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge. You can create a layout based on today sketch and upload it to our gallery. Don't forget to add the date of the challenge (4/24) in your tittle. You will be eligible to win a 5USD gift certificate to be use with your next purchase in CTK Store.

Let's play monochromatic!

Hello!
It's Mira here today and I have a scrapbook challenge for You to jump in!

You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! These pages were made with my April pocket page scrapbook kit. Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

Your prompts this week are:

1. Stay monochromatic
2. Use a transparent elements on top of Your journaling
3. Mix a few cards/papers to create Your own and unique PL card

And here's my inspiration - first - this is how I stay monochromatic:

I use only the products from Sprinkles and PL Kit based on the colors from my pictures.

Then to meet the second prompt I place a transparencies from April Sprinkles Kit on top of the card covered with journaling. This way the card is more interesting but still I can read everything what's underneath :)

And Finally I create my own PL cards to fill four 3x4 pockets in the middle of my spread:

Citrus Twist Kits exclusive papers are perfect for creating Your own cards! Using only the two of them together with a few stickers I created three simple cards. And the last card with the same pinkish design is from PL Kit - it suits here perfectly - this way I can keep my page monochromatic.

I hope You like the prompts that I provided! If You'd like to use them to create your own projects make sure You share them with us in the CTK Gallery and/or on our Facebook Fan Page by Saturday, April 30th, for a chance to win. You can also upload Your works to Instagram and tag us @citrustwistkits.

Have fun!
